Alana Godin

Although always creative to the core, Alana is somewhat new to the fine art world. Spending the past couple of decades as an Interior Designer, Alana discovered her hidden talent for painting during the 2020 pandemic quarantine. Experimenting first with watercolours, she quickly moved into the richer hues of acrylic paints and hasn’t looked back, exploring stirring landscapes and imagery inspired by the space between the elements of earth, light & life giving WATER. Alana is a West Coast native, having raised her children on the Lower Mainland and she now resides on the rolling mountainside of Departure Bay, Nanaimo, tucked beneath the peaked roof of a newly renovated A-frame home. On any given day, Alana can be found teasing a new canvas to life in her studio that faces southern skies or plying the beaches of the Salish Sea for inspiration, enjoying the endless laughter of the surf.
