What is a lab grown diamond?

Are 100% real diamonds with the same properties as natural diamonds.

The main difference between a lab grown diamond and a naturally mined diamond is simply the way it is created. A mined diamond is formed naturally deep beneath the Earth’s crust where temperatures and pressures are very high.

Lab Diamonds are created in controlled environments, replicating the conditions under which natural diamonds form.

Lab grown diamonds are made in lab using a High-Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process. What starts as a diamond seed— a minuscule slice of a diamond— blossoms into a large, rough diamond as carbon atoms grow around it. These elegant pieces are grown in certified labs that use very limited energy and emit next to no emissions.

No physical differences from natural diamonds.

Lab grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and visually the same as a natural diamond. It is impossible to distinguish the difference between the two using a diamond tester or visual inspection. Both natural and lab diamonds are a 10 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness and are certainly heirloom quality! Lab grown diamonds are great options for individuals looking to make a more environmentally informed purchase.
