About the Artist
Richelle Osborne is a Victoria-based artist creating dimensional works that blend structure, movement, and light.
What began as a way to decorate her neighborhood bistro in 2013 evolved into a full-time art practice after she sold the restaurant in 2020.
She now works with materials like copper, acrylic rod, and hardwoods-playing with geometry, texture, and shadow to create sculptural, graphic pieces that shift with the viewer's perspective.
Artist Statement
I continue to explore new possibilities within the three dimensional nature of my modern artwork. I use copper, exotic hardwoods, acrylic extrusion and pouring medium to produces pieces that are interesting and fluid from all points of view. Light and shadows are integral to my work and often produce surprises when a pieces is complete. There are simply not enough days to develop and realize all my ideas.
