About the Artist
An entrepreneur her entire adult life, Donna Anderson owned a fashion store and for many years, was surrounded by texture, colour, and design. She has always had a love and fascination for painting and photography. The progression of putting a hand to brush, to paint on canvas was a natural step.
Artist Statement
"Inspired by my surroundings of the natural world of the West Coast, nature became my Muse. It's ever-changing; I find it awe-inspiring. Since developing as a painter, I see things with a new viewpoint - clouds, horizon lines, ocean, mountains, trees - a never-ending exploration. I work with acrylics, gels and paste, multi-media to create the texture, the movement. The canvas dictates the piece. My goal is to create a moment that resonates with the viewer. " - Donna
