Miriam Nelken

I am proud and happy to have my paintings on display here at The Gallery at Matticks Farm. I have been painting for over 35 years.....starting at The Forum Art Institute in my home town of Winnipeg, Manitoba and in the following years attending classes at U of Manitoba's Fine Arts Dept and in the mid 80's, attending Emily Carr College of Art and Design.

Over the years, I have participated in group and solo shows and have done commissions.

As well as painting, photography has been a passion of mine. Most of my paintings have started from a moment of inspiration captured in a photo.

In all of my work I have attempted to express the "spirit" of my subject and it is my hope that this "spirit" will speak to you.
