Michelle Nyberg

Michelle Nyberg is a Hornby Island based artist, who creates joyful, impressionistic works in acrylic and mixed media. Her love of nature, especially the ocean and flower gardens, are clear influences in her paintings which often depict a closer look at nature's details, rather than the landscape as a whole.

Her process is a mix of play and refinement which often takes many layers of push and pull- painting intuitively and then approaching the work with more considered choices. In the end, her work strikes a balance that reflects both her inner world and the world around her.

Michelle’s work has brought joyful expression to walls across Canada, the USA, Europe and New Zealand.
