Join us Saturday June 6th between 1:00pm and 4:00pm and meet these talented local artists.

Elizabeth Allen:

Elizabeth Allen's bold acrylics on canvas depict light and movement through the use of vivid colour and abstract design. Based on landscape, the images vibrate with energy.

Broken colour and lost and found edges hint of the artist's vision while allowing viewers the opportunity to "complete" the images for themselves.

Carmen Mongeau:

My abstract works are a process of exploration. They celebrate my admiration for the unpredictable and inexhaustible record of life.

I am quickly directed by the work, answering the needs and discovering solutions. I work with thick and thin layers to create a tactile quality. Layers of vibrant colours dynamically emerge and recede within the substrate. The process is reactive, intuitive and playful.

I work from my home Studio on Vancouver Island continually exploring the potentials of self-expression.
